About “KOOYA”

2018年に始まった『紺夜(KOOYA)』は、画家・小林舞香が総合プロデューサーとして自身の世界観を平面から立体、静から動、局所から全域へと押し拡げ、開放する総合芸術プロジェクトです。演出は阿比留大樹、振付は青井美文が担い、公演における世界観の基軸となっています。国内主催公演「春夢共鏡」を皮切りに、花魁世界を現代の国際交流に開放するコンテンポラリーパフォーマンス「世界花魁道中」にて全方位的にベクトルを広げており、ロンドンのHyper Japan、フランスのJapan Expo Parisへの出演や、パリの重要文化財として著名なAux Belles Poulesでの日本人初の単独公演を実施するなど着実に実績を積んでいます。2019年11月、ASEANサミット開催中のタイにおいてLhong1919で在タイ大使館関係者を招いての公演を行い、日泰における重要な国際交流の実績を納めました。2020年1月に羽田空港国際線ターミナルに常設されているステージ江戸舞台にて終日公演。直後に開催されたアジア最大の日本文化博覧会 JAPAN EXPO Thailand 2020に4ステージ出演。

2020年2月末にはバンコク芸術文化センター(BACC)にてパフォーマンス。7月には JAPAN EXPO Malaysia GOES VIRTUALに出演し、オンラインイベントや映像制作によって世界に活動を発信している。

Based on the concept: “From Japan to the World,” KOOYA is produced by Maika Kobayashi, an artist-painter, with the aim of sharing her creative worldview with the world. The project has started with a whirlwind of success in the last year with a range of projects.

The ninja-acrobat performance team which became a hot topic at HYPER JAPAN in London (UK); and The OIRAN performance an elegant cultural project which aims to promote intercultural exchange through participation at charity events and street performances.The ninja-acrobat performance team and The OIRAN dance performance team, unveiled at London’s annual HYPER JAPAN event, drew one of the largest audiences at the event. Currently performing armed with their advanced acrobatic skills and dazzling costumes designed by Maika Kobayashi.
To further deepen our relations with Europe, we will be exhibiting at Japan Expo in Paris this July. At Japan Expo, in addition to performing daily performance shows on the stage, during this event, we plan to hold a cultural exchange event in the center of Paris inviting French companies and celebrities. At this exchange event, we will introduce activities and products of Japanese NGOs and companies that support KOOYA, acting as a bridge between the cultures and economies of Japan and Europe.
